   		Profile: Amanda Joy
Born in Georgia(USA) and raised in Maine(USA), I have lived 24 years in the United States.
On January 1, 2001, I moved to Athens, Greece spending about 2 1/2 years there.  During my stay there, I studied C/C++ programming at New York College - Athens while working as a Corporate Webdesigner at a Well-Known art gallery in Downtown Athens for a year and a half.

In mid-May of 2003, I moved to the Netherlands. I have already completed an intensive
5-month Dutch intensive language program (James Boswell Institute, Utrecht) and am a Volunteer with The Leger des Heils, Hilversum (Holland's Salvation Army).  I've constructed this organization's website and am continuing to maintain it on a server.

Accreditation:
I have obtained two bachelors degrees from the State University of New York at Geneseo (4-year programs) in Mass Communication: Journalism and French. I've studied abroad for a semester in Besancon, France and have traveled Europe numerous times.
Languages: English (Native Tongue), Greek, Dutch and French.

 Hobbies: 
Traveling:  I've been throughout most of Europe on several occassions, spending an extensive
amount of time in Greece (2 1/2 years), France, Romania, and The Netherlands of course. 
Some of the best vacations I ever took were to Tunisia, the Greek Islands, and England & Scotland.
Other countries I have visited: Luxumbourgh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland,
Canada.  I'd like my next vacation-spot to be either Iceland, Egypt or Turkey.

 Music: 
I enjoy foreign music, mostly ethnic and traditional. However, my music tastes are quite broad ranging from opera to heavy metal ballads and everything in between.  I enjoy singing myself and am able to play Saxaphone, Clarinet and some Piano but haven't for a while.

 Leisure Activities:
My idle time is never idle because I love spending time on the computer, playing Trivia,
Crossword Puzzles, watching movies, playing with my guinea pig, taking walks in the park, swimming (in the summer), volunteering with the Leger des Heils and poetry. 
I love Murder / Mystery TV series.  I immensely enjoy Digital Imagery Manipulation.

 I have self-taught myself the art of Web Design and have found this subject to be enjoyable and fascinating. My first encounter with Site construction began during my Freshman Year of College.
